Ivermectin is a topical ‘drop on’ liquid for the treatment of Worms & External Parasites.
Lice/Mites & Worms have been terrible this year due to humidity and hot weather, so this process is an easy solution to beat them all and keep your birds healthy.
Available in this convenient 50ml bottle for backyard breeders of chickens with measurable dropper.
Parasite solution is also safe to use to treat chickens for the treatment of biting insects including:
- Red Mites
- Fleas
- Scaley Leg Mites
- Worms *
Dosage in Chickens:

0.1ml per Kg of body weight
- 50ml will treat in excess of 100 full sized chickens
Place drops on an un-feathered area of skin. Back of the neck and/or under the wing on directly on the skin.
50ml Bottle comes with convenient dropper with measurements for accurate dosage for your chooks.
Egg/Meat Withholding Period
- 7 Days
- This product does not target all worms that can affect chickens. It does target the main worms affecting chickens being Roundworm, Threadworm & Gapeworms. (not Tapeworms)
- For full coverage of all worms in Chickens we recommend Avitrol Worming Tablets which will kill all worm types of poultry are susceptible to.
Ivermectin is for external animal use only and is safe to use in conjunction with food additives and supplements and with other oral medications.
Pack size: 50mL
Recommended: .1m/kg so for a typical large chicken ie Australorp, Sussex approx 3.5kg use .4ml per bird or half a ml only. You can put .2ml under the wing and the other .2ml on the skin between the feathers on back of neck for efficient coverage. Can repeat in 14 days to ensure all hatched eggs are also taken care of or in case of positive worm infestation.
Young Chickens under 12mths - every 3 mths
Mature Chickens over 1 yr old - every 6 mths
Expiry: 18 months from date of manufacture.
